日本的滋賀縣（Shiga）古名叫近江國，又叫淡水國，是一個內陸縣，四周被群山環抱。滋賀縣（Shiga）優質的生態環境使其成為一個生態村代表。從始至今人們都喜歡生活在自然中。在四季分明的日本，感受季節變化更是生活的一部分。也許自然有讓人覺得不方便的地方，但那美妙的光線，舒適的風還有植物又讓人依戀。人類對自然報以強烈的情感依戀。這個新建的房屋，有著自然的生活，被建築師稱為生態屋。主題是“我們住在樹林裡”。減弱家與外界的內外銜接，讓分界變得微弱，人們在建築中可以感受樹林，自然，季節的更替。自然在這裡以強大的力量讓家庭溫馨團結。這是一個享受的家庭空間—樹林之地。
